Morphology
•  Pattern: follicular pattern with expanded mantle zones (early), or diffuse
   pattern (later on).
•  Cytology: composed of small, angulated lymphocytes (like those in mantle
   zones of normal, benign follicles).

Immunophenotype
B-cell.

Translocation
•  t(11;14).
•  Involves bcl-1 gene (on chromosome 11) and immunoglobulin heavy chain
   gene (on chromosome 14).

Clinical features
•  Resistant to therapy.
•  Mean survival = 4 years.
